The Boudoir experience is intimate, raw, and empowering, so naturally one of the number one questions I get asked is about Privacy! At Haute View Boudoir, your PRIVACY is a TOP PRIORITY! I NEVER share any photos without your consistent. All the gorgeous girls on this website and social media have come from a model call and have given permission to share their images.

Online Security
When choosing my online gallery system, I did extensive research on finding the most secure, highly encrypted gallery system. Everything online is password-protected and can only be shared with the people you choose to view your gallery.

Still prefer not to have anything online? No worries, we can do an in-person viewing party and have nothing stored online.

Professional Lab=Professional Privacy

All print orders are sent privately and securely to a professional printing lab…no drug store developing here with your neighbors working behind the counter! Only the best quality prints and most professional lab gets our orders. Our printing lab works with the best boudoir photographers around the world, so your portraits are in safe hands!

Incentives to Share
Because I value your privacy so greatly, I take it as a special honor to be able to share your images, so I offer a discount for anyone willing to share. I offer 20% off for a full model release and 10% off for a Faceless model release (only allowing me to share non-recognizable features).

Boudoir…The Best Gift you ever gave yourself

Usually, when a woman approaches the idea of doing a Boudoir Session, it's thought of as a gift for their partner. A wedding or anniversary gift, Valentine's Day, and birthday, etc. Which, don’t get me wrong, it IS the perfect gift,  But the real gift here is for yourself. There is NOTHING wrong with a little self-love. If you do a Boudoir Session for anyone, let it be for you too.

A Boudoir session is FUN- you get to play dress up and be a super model for a day.  You'll feel pampered as you get your hair and makeup done, while sipping champagne. Your favorite music will be playing. You'll really feel like a movie star.

BUT, the best part actually come AFTER your session. From when you see your images the first time, to receiving the finished album, and best fo all getting to relive the whole experience every time you look at your images. You'll see the true beauty in you that you often forget is there.

The boost in self-confidence you'll receive is worth years of therapy, and a lifetime of self-help books. If you don't believe me, here are some more words from just a few of the women I've had the honor to empower recently...

“I loved everything about this experience. It was my first boudoir photo shoot and I was super nervous as I had never done anything like that before. Brittany sat down before the shoot and we talked about the style I was going for. It was a 1st wedding anniversary gift to my husband. I am definitely pretty self-conscious, but she made me feel completely comfortable in my own skin. She made it totally fun! My husband was speechless after I gave him the beautiful book that Brittany put together. He has told me on numerous occasions that it his most beloved possession. Thank you for all your amazing work and for making me feel beautiful!!!” ~ Megan

Who doesn't need a little ego or confidence boost from time to time? This is a way to do it once, but have the results forever. One of my clients recently said-

“I Haven't felt this amazing, empowered And gorgeous in a long time!!! Thank you so much!!!” ~ Kaitlyn”

Boudoir is about YOU! Stop comparing yourself to others!

“To love is to stop comparing.” – Bernard Grasset

The last thing I want is this blog post to come across as preachy, because girl I STRUGGLE with this! If anything I am preaching to myself as I write this!  Social Media plays a huge role in this as we are constantly scrolling and seeing *what looks like* everyone’s perfect life before us. Even when preparing yourself for this boudoir photography session, you will most likely go to Pinterest for inspiration. Which I encourage you to do, but the problem comes when you look at that inspiration and say, “I like this, but I will never look that (beautiful, skinny, perfect).”

If you don’t hear anything today, but this: Be Real, not Perfect! Celebrate those things that make you who you are, and don’t be afraid to be imperfectly, perfect.

So how do you break this cycle of comparing yourself with others? Here are some tips I’ve found useful at: https://zenhabits.net/lifes-enough-stop-comparing-yourself-to-others/

  • Awareness. Most often we do these social comparisons without realizing we’re doing it. It’s a natural act, I suppose, and as a result it’s something that is done without consciousness. So the solution is to become conscious — bring these thoughts to the forefront of your consciousness by being on the lookout for them. If you focus on these thoughts for a few days, it gets much easier with practice, and soon it’ll be hard not to notice.
  • Stop yourself. Once you realize you’re doing these comparisons, give yourself a pause. Don’t berate yourself or feel bad — just acknowledge the thought, and gently change focus.
  • Count your blessings. A better focus is on what you do have, on what you are already blessed with. Count what you have, not what you don’t. Think about how lucky you are to have what you have, to have the people in your life who care about you, to be alive at all.
  • Focus on your strengths. Instead of looking at your weaknesses, ask yourself what your strengths are. Celebrate them! Be proud of them. Don’t brag, but feel good about them and work on using them to your best advantage.
  • Be OK with imperfection. No one is perfect — intellectually, we all know that, but emotionally we seem to feel bad when we don’t reach perfection. You aren’t perfect and you never will be. I certainly am not, and I’ve learned to be OK with that. Sure, keep trying to improve, but don’t think you’ll ever be the “perfect person”. If you look at it in a different way, that imperfection is what makes you who you are, you already are perfect.
  • Don’t knock others down. Sometimes we try to criticize others just to make ourselves look or feel better. Taking someone else down for your benefit is destructive. It forms an enemy when you could be forming a friend. In the end, that hurts you as well. Instead, try to support others in their success — that will lead to more success on your part.
  • Focus on the journey. Don’t focus on how you rank in comparison to others — life is not a competition. It’s a journey. We are all on a journey, to find something, to become something, to learn, to create. That journey has nothing to do with how well other people are doing, or what they have. It has everything to do with what we want to do, and where we want to go. That’s all you need to worry about.
  • Learn to love enough. If you always want what others have, you will never have enough. You will always want more. That’s an endless cycle, and it will never lead to happiness. No matter how many clothes you buy, no matter how many houses you own (seven, in the case of one famous candidate), no matter how many fancy cars you acquire … you’ll never have enough. Instead, learn to realize that what you have is already enough. If you have shelter over your head, food on the table, clothes on your back, and people who love you, you are blessed. You have enough. Anything you have over and above that — and let’s admit that all of us reading this blog have more than that — is more than enough. Be good with that, and you’ll find contentment.

To Tan or Not to Tan....

I get asked about tanning often and I actually learned about this lesson the hard way. I got a spray tan a few days before a friend’s wedding where I was a bridesmaid. I did all the right things: researched the best places, didn’t go cheap, and followed all the directions. It turned out really well and I thought it looked great….UNTIL I saw her wedding pictures, where I looked like a cheeto next to everyone else. In pictures spray tans come across orange and uneven. Unfortunately, I have had a few clients who also learned this lesson the hard way, so I wanted to do a quick blog post on the subject.

Spray Tans - Even if you spray tan regularly, do not get a spray tan in the days leading to your boudoir shoot. No matter how excellent the tanning solution is or how great it looks in person, it will not come off that way in your images. Spray tans (and other tanning products) are notorious for clinging to drier areas of your skin, like your knees, ankles, and wrists. It also tends to wear off on the hands, feet, and face before the rest of your body, creating a very uneven orangey looking skin tone contrast.  All areas will be highly visible in your photographs, and are typically too contrasting to properly edit and smooth out.

Tanning Beds - Though tanning beds can give you a more natural look, there always tends to be a line or two from laying on the bed that tans inconsistently. Usually around the lower back and booty.

Like everything about boudoir, natural is better. Don’t be afraid to be your true self. A shade lighter won’t hide any of your true beauty!
